Sobre no tomar decisiones, 2019

Acrylic and enamel on canvas

150 x 150 cm

“An artist whose name is unknown orders a canvas in a Barcelona store but never picks it up. Both the format and the type of fabric, the thickness of the frame or the priming are decisions made by the unknown artist. The reasons that led him to order this canvas and later to abandon it are unknown. After five days, another artist goes to the same store for something different, but she sees the canvas and decides to take it away. She walks with the white canvas through the streets of Barcelona eleven blocks until he reaches her house. Along the way, she thinks about all the decisions she has not made about the canvas and decides not to make any more decision. Her house is painted in pale pink. The wall decides the colour of the background. In front of the painting there are two yellow chairs that stare at its surface. Chairs decide the colour of the text”
